Case Study

Kestrel

Kestrel Intelligence is an AI-driven intelligence platform. We gave it an identity built from a mark, a way of looking at land from far above and a website to match.

01 · The Result

A Language OfSignal And Terrain.

The mark is cut from two sharp angles. The imagery looks down on land from far above. The type is set like an instrument readout.

02 · What They Asked For

A Platform ThatTurns Data Into Insight.

Kestrel Intelligence is an AI-driven intelligence platform. Autonomy, sensing and decision-making meet in it, and complex data becomes actionable insight.
The brand had to look precise and calm before anyone read a line. We built an identity, a photographic look and a website that carry that.
  • An aerial view of farmland cut into green and yellow fields by narrow tracks.
  • An aerial view of eroded rust-orange and cream ridges and dry riverbeds.

03 · What We Found

Data Is Hard To Picture. The Brand Has To Do It.

A platform that works on complex data has little to show that a visitor can see. The identity had to make that work visible: sharp forms, wide views from above and a quiet, technical voice.

04 · What We Built, In Order

A Mark, A LookAnd A Website.

The work covered the mark, the image system, the direction of the visuals and the website.
  1. 01

    Mark

A white mark made of two angled bars, stacked like a pair of arrowheads, on a black ground.

A mark built from two angled bars, drawn to read at small and large sizes.

  2. 02

    Data Forms

Three spheres in white on black, one streaked, one made of fine dots and one wound in thin lines.

Dotted and streaked spheres in white on black, used to stand for signal and sensing.

  3. 03

    Image Direction

A sharp, snow-covered mountain peak under a pale grey sky.

Wide, quiet landscapes seen from a distance, with room around the subject.

An aerial view of dark green forest crossed by a narrow diagonal river.

05 · The One Decision

Look FromFar Above.

Distance is the brand's stance. The images look down from high and far, so the viewer sees the pattern before the detail.

06 · What This Taught Us

Show The WorkIt Cannot Show.

Kestrel sells analysis, and analysis has no natural picture. So the identity borrowed the view its platform takes: distant, patient and exact.
When a product is hard to see, the brand can show the stance behind it. A consistent way of looking gives the work a face.
A folded white cloth pouch with a looped cord on a black ground, and a pair of clear-framed glasses lying beside it.
