Geonova Systems builds geospatial intelligence platforms. We gave it a wordmark, an image language drawn from point clouds, field photography and a website.

A wave of white points on a black ground, like a scanned landscape, with the word GEONOVA SYSTEMS in white capitals across the centre.

01 · The Result

A Brand DrawnFrom The Data.

The identity borrows the look of the product: points, scans and terrain. Field photography and print pieces carry it off the screen and onto the land.
  • A print page with three photographs of a grey technical jacket on a black ground, beside a column of small type.
  • A print page showing three laser scans of rows of trees in orange, yellow, green and blue over dark hills.
  • A print page with a grid of six aerial and drone photographs above a large grey GEONOVA SYSTEMS wordmark.
  • A black poster with a large, inflated cream-coloured letter G and a block of small monospaced text inside it.

02 · What They Asked For

IntelligenceFor The Land.

Geonova Systems develops geospatial intelligence platforms. They turn complex data into insight for infrastructure and environmental monitoring.
The company needed a brand that makes technical work readable to the people who fund it and use it. We designed the identity, art directed the field imagery and built the website.

03 · What We Found

The Data Is Abstract. The Brand Should Not Be.

Maps and scans can look cold to anyone outside the field. We gave the platform a body: people in weather, machines in the air and a point cloud that reads as ground.

04 · What We Built, In Order

Identity, ImageryAnd A Website.

The visual language grew from the platform's own output. Each piece shows the ground, the people on it or the machines above it.
  1. 01

    Aerial Imagery

An aerial view of green fields and dark forest with pale yellow rectangles and small labels marked over it.

Drone photographs of farmland and forest, overlaid with small yellow markers and labels.

  2. 02

    Point Cloud

Grey point-cloud rock walls around a dark opening with figures standing inside, and the word GEONOVA set vertically on both sides.

A laser-scanned cave rendered in white points, with people standing in the opening.

  3. 03

    Machines

A grid of pale, faded x-ray images of drones, with one dark tile in the second row and a faded vertical wordmark at the left.

X-ray studies of drones in a pale grid, with one in black to lead the eye.

  4. 04

    Field Team

Two photographs of people in red and white hooded jackets on rocky ground under a blue sky, with drones hovering above and the GEONOVA SYSTEMS wordmark at the bottom left.

People in the field at dusk, with the wordmark and short labels set on the image.

Two views of a light grey technical jacket with a small wordmark on the chest, one facing the camera and one in three-quarter view, against black.

05 · The One Decision

Field GearAs Identity.

The brand also appears as a piece of field clothing, with the wordmark small on the chest. It says the platform belongs outside, with the people who use it.

06 · What This Taught Us

Give The DataA Body.

A platform that handles data has nothing to hold. The identity gives it three things: terrain in points, people in the field and machines in the air.
When the product is invisible, a brand can borrow its texture. The point cloud came from the work itself, so the look explains the product before any copy does.
